I have read countless posts about not being able to send or receive email through my email server. It’s ridiculous that we have to go to netmail.verizon.net just to get email! The problem seems to be getting worse for me.

Worse. I’m surprised you can even access your Verizon email through webmail/webmail.verizon.net. When I signed up for the first time last weekend, they forced me to go to AOL (same email address), but before that my annoying spam tripled, so I killed my AOL (@verizon.net) email account all together.
Unfortunately, I was sending my @verizon.net emails to my Gmail account, at least Google knows how to catch spam and put it in place.
The problem is now. I no longer have an @verzion.net email account on AOL or OR Verzion, and I can’t access several sub accounts using the standard verizon.net list.

Then there was my email settings on Verizon. So I ask them, why then it works on wifi and not cell and need different settings? He said no. So I ask, why should you check my settings?

There is no clarity. I asked to speak to someone higher up – preferably support in the US. I had this guy’s manager. The manager repeated my issues to him over and over again. He said my settings like the other guy told me. I asked him why one day my popup downloaded via outlook.com and the next day it didn’t. I asked him why my email was downloading my iphone app on wifi but not mobile data. He offered no explanation and insisted it was my settings. I asked him to look into the server issues reported here (and told me via Verizon’s computer chat – by 2/15). He came back and told me that yes, Verizon had email issues, but they were all resolved and I had no issues.
I then asked him to report my problems to someone higher up. He said he would and we ended the call.
Ignore mobile data downloads by changing my phone settings Security settings – Turn off “Use SSL” in advanced pop.verizon.net settings. Then my phone verified the settings and in the process it changed the port to 110. Emails are now downloaded on mobile data instead of wifi.
Another unhappy customer here. My Android phone also won’t send or receive email over a dial-up connection. Changing the SSL settings didn’t work for me.

I chatted with “Agent David” online from 15:01 to 15:54. Anyway, he can’t figure out why I’m having this problem (my husband has the same problem with his phone). His “solution” was to delete his email account and download it again. If so I would have lost a year of emails but he did what he told me and then said “good afternoon” and ended the conversation.
I’m switching to Comcast and OOMA now that I don’t get much access to my email.
I’m so tired. I can’t do my job! What’s worse is that Verizon does not take responsibility for email access as part of our account. Terrible company and business. Change is such a hassle. I wish I had a Gmail account all along so we could move everything away from Verizon. They are our biggest monthly bill and biggest source of stress!!
