Regarding the need to verify user credentials, I can configure the Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Logmail plugin to send email without providing user credentials.
I think I do this because the GoDaddy SMTP server “trusts” the WordPress site hosted on it, ready to deliver email to all recipients.
