Outlook 2010 Microsoft Exchange Server Settings – The following instructions cover the process of manually setting up your Office 365 Exchange Online account in Outlook 2010, 2013, and 2016 for Windows. This is useful when setting up a secondary account or having problems during automatic setup.
You cannot manually set up a new Microsoft Exchange account running Outlook. So, before starting this procedure, make sure that Outlook is not running on your computer.

Outlook 2010 users must have the latest Windows updates before performing this task. Follow these steps to check for and install the latest Windows updates.
Removing Email Accounts In Outlook 2019, 2016, 2013 Or 2010
At this point, you may be prompted to sign in to your Office 365 account. If so, log in as normal and proceed to the next step.
After the desktop setup is complete, you may need to restart your computer. Your version of Outlook is now updated and you can continue to connect to Microsoft Exchange Server.
If you don’t see the Mail option, change the View setting (in the upper-right corner of the Control Panel) to Uppercase or Lowercase.
If the following window appears, Outlook has been detected as running on your computer. To continue, you must close Outlook before proceeding with the procedure.

Do not click the Check Name button at this stage. If you do this, the configuration will fail.
The default Microsoft Exchange Server connection is configured and you can go to Security and Advanced connection settings.
Now the security and connection details are set and you can check, confirm and complete the process.

In a split migration, you migrate all your mailboxes, distribution groups, contacts, etc. to Office 365 at a specified date and time. Once you’re done, you can turn off your Exchange servers and start using Microsoft 365 only.
Split migration is ideal for small organizations that don’t have mailboxes, want to quickly access Microsoft 365, and don’t want to deal with the complexity of other methods. But it should be done in a week or less. It also requires users to reset their Outlook profiles. Truncated migration can migrate up to 2,000 mailboxes, but we recommend that you use it for a maximum of 150. Uncomplicated. You can control how many and which mailboxes are moved at any time. Microsoft 365 mailboxes are created with your account username and password. And unlike a split transition, your users don’t have to recreate their Outlook profiles.
In a full hybrid migration, you will have hundreds and tens of thousands of mailboxes and move some or all of them to Microsoft 365. Since these transfers are usually long-term, hybrid transfers allow:

A full hybrid migration is best for organizations that plan to stay in a hybrid configuration for several months or longer. You’ll be able to move and migrate mailboxes to Microsoft 365 using the features listed earlier in this section, as well as directory synchronization, integrated compliance features, and online mailbox migration.
