The Outlook SMTP server has some sending limits that you should be aware of: you can send 300 emails per day to 100 recipients.

While the Outlook SMTP server allows you to send email through your Outlook account, POP3 and IMAP allow you to import email sent by others. We’ll talk about IMAP in the next section.
How To Setup Your Company Email Using Microsoft Outlook
If you want to use an e-mail client, add POP3 or IMAP credentials and receive e-mail from your e-mail client from Outlook. In general, IMAP is better than POP3 because it allows for two-way synchronization if email needs to be accessed from multiple devices (such as desktop and mobile). However, if you only use one device, POP3 may be a better choice.
You should note that Outlook disables POP3 by default. To enable it, click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the Outlook interface and search for “POP”. Then click on the results for POP and IMAP (or you can go directly to this link).
In the POP Options section, select Yes for Allow devices and apps to use POP. You can then choose whether apps and devices can delete or permanently store emails in Outlook.
As mentioned above, IMAP is generally a better choice if you want to access email from multiple devices. Outlook can access IMAP by default, so all you have to do is use these settings:

Let’s say you want to improve the reliability of emails sent by your WordPress site. In this case, you can also configure your WordPress site with an Outlook SMTP server to enjoy a large sending limit (300 emails per 100 recipients per day).
The setup process involves pasting the Outlook SMTP server settings into the WordPress SMTP plugin (see below). However, if you’re having trouble, there are many other free SMTP servers available, including the free Gmail SMTP server.
To use the WordPress SMTP service, you need to install the WordPress SMTP plugin. There are many popular options, but we recommend the Post SMTP plugin because it’s 100% free and includes features to solve potential problems with your website’s email.
To get started, install and activate the free plugin from WordPress.org. Then go to the new post SMTP section in your WordPress dashboard and click on the View All Settings option:

Then go to the “Messages” tab and enter your “From” email address and your name. The email address must belong to your Outlook account, but this name may be what your recipients want to see:

If you’re having trouble, you can troubleshoot by going to Post SMTP > Email Logs and viewing the specific error message for the failed email. The plugin also offers you solutions. For example, if you enter a password incorrectly, it will prompt you to double-check the details:

How To Check Your Incoming And Outgoing Settings
The benefit here for WordPress users is that you can use Outlook’s optimized SMTP servers to improve the reliability of your website’s email. Also, the daily submission limit for WordPress sites should exceed 300.
For e-mail clients, an SMTP server provides the ability to send e-mail through your client’s interface. If you combine it with POP3 or IMAP, you can receive your Outlook emails in your email program or client of choice.

Postmark can be used to send email from Outlook via SMTP without affecting the ability to receive email at an email address using an existing IMAP configuration. In this help article, we’ll show you how to configure your Outlook desktop client so that emails from your Outlook account are sent using Postmark. This help article uses Outlook for Mac 2016 for screenshots. The exact view may be different in other versions of Outlook.

After you’ve configured your outbound settings, send a test email from an account that uses Postmark. Emails are sent via Postmark via SMTP, so you can see your Postmark in action.
Note: The first time you send an email after changing your settings abroad, you may be prompted to re-enter your password. Re-enter the server API token for the password, and check the Save password option so you don’t have to enter it every time you send it.
Testing Email If this doesn’t work, check your Postmark feature and check for SMTP API errors. To send postage stamps from Outlook, you must add your email address as a sender signature to your postage stamps account.
