Note that Outlook disables POP3 by default. To activate it, click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the Outlook interface and search for “pop”. Then click the POP and IMAP result (or you can click this link to go directly there).
In the POP settings area, select Yes, allow devices and programs to use the POP option. You can then choose whether to allow programs and devices to delete emails from Outlook or to keep them forever.
