How To Send Email Using Html – Today I will show you how to create and send “HTML Email” in Gmail. The advantage is that you can design email campaigns, edit and send them within Gmail as a campaign or as part of regular email correspondence.
If you take the HTML code and paste it “raw” into the Gmail layout window, it won’t display anything else, it will just look like HTML code. Therefore, HTML does not help you format the look and feel of your email.

My favorite technique is #2 because it gives me the most control and doesn’t require extensions. Every enhancement you add to Gmail makes the interface a little better.

Gmail Compose by itself The Compose window does not allow you to edit html. This is unlike email providers like Mailchimp or Constant Contact, where you can edit the raw HTML. So the following technique is a way to bypass Gmail restrictions.
Once you’ve written your HTML, the process is basically just a matter of copy and pasting. You create your page in HTML, load it into the browser, copy the browser’s content, and then paste it into Gmail’s compose window. By “rendered” HTML, I mean how the HTML looks in the browser with colors, fonts, and images.
For this example, I’m using HTML, which is fine for our purposes. HTML can be written directly or generated using an HTML authoring tool. Gmail is a bit picky about what is allowed as HTML in your email, so here are some important guidelines:
CSS (for example,
Gmail changed its CSS support in 2016, so older online posts may claim they don’t support what they do. The article I linked to has been updated with this change.
– Some HTML tags may not be supported. This list (may not be very good) includes some supported HTML tags and some not.
– Gmail does not support web fonts. So, use the default font they provide, or if you want a different font like your logo, create an image of that text. Then link the image you uploaded online in HTML, which I did for the Binkman’s Books logo in the example email below.
– All photos must be uploaded online somewhere – they cannot be emailed. You can upload images to Imgur, Amazon Web Services, Google Docs (if you can get a direct link to the image), or any other image hosting site.
– Using tables to display content is recommended for HTML emails. However, even with the use of tables, there are still issues to be aware of.
– Google Docs for invoicing can be problematic. Although there is a tutorial on how to create your own HTML email using Google Docs without coding, when I tried it, I found that what appears in Google Docs does not appear in email (ie something centralized in Google Docs). aligned to the left of the email).
– Keep it simple. Since what Gmail supports is unpredictable, it’s best to keep things very simple with HTML. (This is probably a good idea from the recipient’s point of view, too. No one needs an overly complicated email.) Keeping it simple helps you design an email that’s as responsive as you want it to be to your recipient’s email clients. .
– Create templates. Once your HTML file is formatted, save it as a template outside of Gmail. In the future, you can use this template to create layouts, logo placement, etc. without re-creating the HTML code. you can use the setting to create new emails by simply changing a few words.

An HTML email should appear in the compose window. Before sending an email, double check that everything is correct (scroll down).
This is it! The beauty of this method is that when you save the HTML file as a template, your future HTML emails will look consistent and your emails will get “brand visibility”. This will save a lot of time creating new HTML emails, and there will be no need to create any external CSS files.
Of course, this method can be combined with Google Docs spreadsheets or other methods to use as part of an automated email sequence.
