You already know Gmail for its free email offering. However, Google allows you to use Gmail as an SMTP server to send emails from your website.
With a free Gmail account, you can send up to 500 emails in 24 hours. Or, if you’re a paid Google Workspace subscriber ($6/month), you can send up to 2,000 emails in 24 hours.
Setting up a free Gmail SMTP server takes a little more work than these other tools. However, the extra effort is worth it, as Gmail also offers the highest free email limit of any tool on this list.

You can use Gmail SMTP server information in different places. You can use it on a native email client like Microsoft Outlook or on a WordPress site, which is what we’re going to focus on.

Once you’ve activated it, go to the New Post SMTP tab in your WordPress dashboard and click the Show All Settings button to see all the options.
Once you’ve done that, go back to the Accounts tab and use the Type dropdown menu to select Gmail API. This opens up some additional options. Keep this page open as you will need the following information in the next step.
Then you need to create a Google application. This allows your WordPress site (or any other application) to securely connect to the Gmail SMTP server to send emails.
To do this, open a new browser tab, go to the Google Developers Console and create a new project. If this is your first time signing in, Google should ask you to create a new project. Alternatively, you can do so by clicking the drop-down menu next to the Google API logo (indicated by  in the screenshot below).

This should launch you into the custom interface for the Gmail API. Click Create Account to continue:
Google will then prompt you to configure the OAuth consent screen. Click the button in the Consent screen setup prompt:
This will open a new tab for the OAuth consent screen. For User Type, select External. Then click Create:
The update button should be replaced by the generated OAuth client ID. Click this button to finish the process. Then, the click was done.

After clicking Done, you should enter the OAuth 2.0 Client Identity section of the Credentials tab (you should be automatically redirected to this page after clicking Done).
Now go back to your WordPress dashboard and post SMTP mailer/email log settings and enter your client ID and client secret. Then click the “Save Changes” button:
When you click on this link, it will open a simple Google authorization process. You need to click and allow the site to access your Gmail account.
Because you haven’t submitted your app to Google for review, Google will warn you that your app isn’t approved. You can easily ignore this warning since you have created the application. Click the link to display advanced settings and select “Go to your website” to continue the authorization process:

You should then see the value of your API key – keep this handy as you will need it in the next step.
Next, click on the new Sendinblue tab in your WordPress dashboard and add your API key in the box. Then, click Enter.

Select the Yes radio button in the Transactional Emails section to start sending your site’s transactional emails through Sendinblue’s free SMTP server.
